It's during difficult times when we often doubt ourselves or certain aspects of our lives, but my hope for myself, and for everyone, is that we can find the quickest way out of the darkness. I've been reading an awesome book I found at my grandma's house titled, "In Praise of Stay-at-Home Moms" by Dr. Laura Schlessinger. I LOVE this book. In addition to my scripture study, this book gives me a daily reminder of what is most important in this life- my family!
Today I was reading in the chapter titled, "How Stay-at-Home Moms Benefit Kids". Dr. Laura frankly talks about how silly she thinks the debate on "day-care vs. mommy care" is and how no one can take care of a child better than it's mom. Duh! That makes sense, but I loved the way it was explained by one of Dr. Laura's listeners, "Nobody, nobody could ever LOVE my child and take care of him the way I do- NOBODY EVER!"
If you need another mommy booster- check out this video- Motherhood:-An-Eternal-Partnership I've posted it on my facebook, but it too makes you appreciate being a mom.
